This recipe is a great addition to any camp kitchen. Cook them on your camp stove, or better yet, on a cast-iron pan over the fire. These are thin pancakes – almost like crepes – that you can transform hundreds of ways. Add chocolate chips, sliced bananas, top with pb&j, serve with sausage and eggs – or all of the above.
6cups Spelt Flour
4tbsp Cane Sugar
2tbsp Arrowroot Powder
2tbsp + 4tsp Baking Powder
Pinch of Salt
To make: use 1cup mix and 1cup water – sometimes we add an egg if we have one – the batter should be pourable & not too thick.
That looks like a delicious, hearty breakfast. I love cooking over an open fire too.
